We've Registered!

We finally have our registries complete! It was a little bit of a process, but a fun one.

The first time I went just to look with Erica, and she filled me in on exactly what I need/don't need from a recent mom's perspective. I found this to be very beneficial. She pointed out many things that I wouldn't have thought of. They sure make a baby product for every little thing you could think of!

The second time, which was last weekend, Kyle and I went and officially registered! I'm thankful because he wanted to come along -- it wasn't something I had to drag him to. It was fun to think about baby stuff this time in particular because we will actually be needing it soon. And of course it's fun to imagine our "little girl" in about every cute outfit or piece of equipment we saw. Kyle has been especially helpful about baby gear because of his job...he's now the finance guy in the baby department at Target HQ! He talks about baby gear all day at work...what perfect timing! He's even taught me words like "romper," "travel system," and all the new vocabulary that I never paid much attention to before. So our day went smoothly and was a fun "date," but we were pretty tired by the end!

The third time, which was this weekend, I went by myself to double-check that we had everything we needed and to do some final touch-ups. So many decisions! But I think we've got it figured out, for the most part!

We ended up registering at Target (of course!), Babies R Us, and Restoration Hardware Baby and Child online (such adorable bedding)!

Next step? I need to get the the nursery started. That's a complicated task, because it's currently my office. Wish me luck!

Wow! Such cute things for your little girl! It's fun to share in this with you all the way from Iowa! :) And it sounds like Kyle's got the perfect job that goes right along with your stage of life! Can't wait to meet your little one!

I enjoyed registering too, but it was kind of stressful at the same time. I think I overanalyzed everything and then couldn't make a decision :) Glad you had fun! What's really fun is when you start receiving the things you registered for!
