We had a great "grandparents" weekend! We went to the quad cities to visit Kyle's grandparents, Nana and Boompa. We had so much fun hanging out with them -- the trip reminded us of college, when we used to visit them for holidays and school breaks.
Kyle and Boompa went golfing while Nana and I did a little shopping on Saturday morning. That afternoon, we came home to watch football and take a nap! Then we all went out for pizza Saturday night with Jan and Steve, his aunt and uncle (wish I had a picture of the six of us)! Sunday after church, Nana fixed us a great dinner of Swedish meatballs, cheesy potatoes, and vegetables. Yum! And of course, we couldn't leave town without getting a shake at Country Style Ice Cream, an L family tradition. I got a vanilla malt with Reese's pieces and Kyle got a chocolate shake with Oreos!
On the way home, we stopped to visit my grandma too! We definitely had a fun, "grandparents" weekend...and could almost call it a "great-grandparents" weekend!
