Blood, Sweat, & Tears

Well, maybe there was no blood. But it sure was a lot of work. For some reason, I decided to try and reupholster a wing back chair that I found at a garage sale. Actually, maybe I do know why. At the upholstery shop, it costs $350-500, just for the labor. Now that I've done it, I can see why {the tutorial I followed can be found here}. But anyway.

Here is the Before:



And, are you ready? With the help of a staple gun and some hot glue...

I must warn you. Do not look too closely.



See? I warned you {I am not known for my precision.} Actually, it's not quite done. If you look closely, you will see that I still need to sew a cover for the cushion. I don't have a sewing machine at the moment, so I just wrapped it in extra fabric for this picture.

Old chair at a garage sale... $25
Floral fabric for chair... $40
Having a new piece of furniture for our new house... priceless!

One more warning. Make sure not to scratch your hardwood floors when you move it by the window to take a picture.



And definitely do not let your child play with a pen while you work.
